Iceland – Winter 2020

To have travelled overseas in 2020 is something not many can say.

For me I ventured off to Iceland in early January in search for a winter wonderland and of course the Northern Lights.

After 36 hours of flying I arrived at 

Highlights include Vestrahorn, Kirkjufell, Diamond Beach, Reynisfjara, Vatnajokull Glacier and the mighty Skogafoss Waterfall

Iceland is such a diverse and ever changing landscape. One day a location could be covered in snow and the next have it all washed and blown away. During my over 2 weeks here I was able to witness this and the intense weather Iceland is famous for.

The shorter days provide you with plenty of time to chase the Aurora all over the countryside.

This is one country I definitely need to visit again.
